Today I am praying for love and strength. My son bit his lip this morning and he had a lot of blood and it worries me to see him like that because he's only a baby. I have been informed that I need to substitute for a class that has high emotions and somewhat unstable. That on top of Lunch duty and receess duty and the possibility of indoor recess in the gym is making me somewhat panicked. But the good news is that I have been informed of this situation and I can work out what I need to do to have success in all areas of the day. I will not let my basketball injury keep me from doing my job and doing it well. I can use the high emotions and high energy to get students to work with me and get results and be kind to each other. I ask God to give me the strength and wisdom to do what I need to do and know what I need to do and let me do it with ease and with understanding and love. Today's goal is to make the people I see feel lucky to have me in their life. This week's goal is to give gifts to others that keep them safe and make them happy to be alive. This year my goal is to empower myself by being a black belt and have dolphin rides in Florida. I plan to be flexible with whatever comes my way, like an elastic band. What a wonderful way to live life: being able to roll with whatever comes along and make it into something beautiful and fun and eventful. Be flexible.
The longer you endure, the greater the reward will be in the end. I am so grateful for all the things I have in my life. I've snapped back from my problems like a rubber band.

This year I want to get my second degree black belt and swim with the dolphins. I really feel that after passing my History Test that doors are open to me. Today I want to have joy and appreciation and have others applaud my good work. This week I want to ace my history exam and hang a beautiful Christmas tree in our living room. This year I want to get my second degree black belt and swim with the dolphins. I feel nervous about my exam and if I were to fail it, I would feel like a failure and I'd have to come home with my head hanging down. So I ask the universe to give me the knowledge and the strength to do well on this exam bring me good news. It's always good to try something new and do the best you can. We can learn from every situation no matter what it is.

Today I want to have joy and understanding with all the people I come across. This week I want to celebrate my family and friends around this holiday season, and this year I want to attain my second degree black belt and find new opportunities to travel and have adventures with my family. I have to say I am concerned about this U.S. history exam coming up, although I have studied quite a bit for it and I can name every U.S. president in order from 17th- 44th, I still feel concerned because I don't know what kinds of questions they'll throw at me. Maybe they'll do 10 questions on Jacob Riis, who knows. Anyway, I pray to God that I can Overcome this trial and get an awesome score on this exam. Plesae give me the strength to overcome this obstacle and attain success for myself and my family.

Today I'm following through on my checklist. The Checklist of life. For me, family comes first, but I absolutely need to study for my history exam coming up in a few weeks. This morning was a little shaky. I didn't really feel like greeting people as I walked in to work and I kind of feel down. But no more. Today is going to be a day full of adventure. Today's I have a chance to receive a diploma for passion and leadership and adventure. I have a chance to receive a Diploma for making a difference and getting my teacher certification. ARROW

Today is the day to shoot the arrow directly at the target. First of all, you need to know what your target is. You have to judge how close you need to be to hit your target, then take aim and make it happen. I am aiming at completing my teacher certification and in order to do so, I need to study for history and get a good grade on that test and finish my science test and go to the meeting and get certified as a teacher, then I need to get a teaching job and make my family proud. My arrow is my persistence for studying and making the grades. Another target of mine is to swim with the dolphins.  The arrow is earning enough money so that I can go and take my family with me. I want to take aim and fire. Getting my 2nd degreee black belt is another goal I take aim at, with my love and courage, I can do this.

Today I have decided to look inside and reflect on my first post ever created on this blog. The topic of my first blog was greatness.

Each day I like to present a topic and ask questions to help find answers that stimulate and motivate people's way of thinking.
The questions I wanted to present today are, "How do you make your life great?" and "How can you feel great on a daily basis?"
I feel that just asking the questions can stimulate my mind and get me feeling better about my own life. I don't have all the answers of course. I can only share from my personal experience, but I would say one way to make your life great is to sharpen your ideas about goal setting and set up goals for yourself that you can achieve.
I think it's good to set goals for the week, for the month and for the year and chart your progress towards those goals.
I have short term and long term goals of my own.
My goals include
1. Getting certified as a teacher in general special education
2. Getting my second degree black belt
3. Swimming with the dolphins
4. Make a movie seen by millions of people


      Some goals can be achieved in the short term and some take longer. I think you truly achieve greatness in your life when you begin to live your dream rather than just dream your dream. I believe the first step to greatness is to plant the seeds of greatness. Think about what you want and how great you feel when you get what you want. I know that goals work because I had previous goals of: getting married, receiving a black belt in karate, becoming a father and living in a four bedroom house. I have these things in my life right now and I know that it is not just luck that I've been able to have these things appear in my life. It will be interesting to check back on these 4 goals that I've just shared in a year from now to see how these things manifest in my life. I definitely believe that you can manifest what you want in your life by thinking of what it is you want to attract in your life. Greatness comes from being who you are and being honest about what you want. Doing the little things everyday eventually adds up to one big thing.
       I love video editing and I loved going to a film academy to study film. It is my dream to make films and that is a dream that will never die. My greatness comes from realizing what I want and having faith that the universe will give it to me. In answer to the question "How can you feel great on a daily basis?" I think the answer is just to realize you are on the path and always on the path. Everything that has happened is giving you information about how to get from here to there. Greatness means knowing that you have to learn and contribute and improve 1% everyday. If you can improve 1% a day physically, spiritually and financially, you will feel greatness thrust upon you. You'll be able to see it and feel it.
Thank you for listening to one man's ramblings. I hope you were able to get something out of this. I appreciate any feedback you might have for me. I may not have all the answers, but I'm at least searching and that is an important step in the journey.

After reflecting on my very first post delivered 4 months ago, I feel that I need to continue to ask the important questions and keep myself on track. I feel I am closer to getting certified as a teacher and getting teaching job. As long as I do the work that is necessary each day and look inside myself to honestly look and see that I am doing all that I can to get what I need, then I will achieve these goals. I promise to improve 1% everyday physically, spiritually and financially and get the results I'm after.

Alleviate: Make suffering less severe

Today I plan to alleviate the pain of going to an event that I don't want to go to. The way I plan to do this is to breathe and to have understanding and love for others and keep myself out of the equation. If people see the love in my heart and see that I am at peace, then less things will bother me. Boredom will not bother me, inane conversation will not bother me, nothing will bother me because God's love will make me a loving spirit. God's love will answer my prayers and make the painful situations less painful. Perhaps I will find joy in the otherwise unpleasant situation. I can give true caring and love into my thoughts and actions and have positive results.

ENDURANCE

Today I need much endurance. We are going on an all school hike and in the past 3 years I haven't enjoyed one yet. I want to endure what's ahead of me and keep a positive attitude and actually have fun with being outdoors and seeing nature. My goal is to enjoy the day and use my endurance to help me with completion of my long term goals. Today is a day to be strong.

When I think of Home, I think of being in touch with your center. I think that the tendency is to think of home as a place to escape your problems and relax, but I feel that you should always be looking for ways to improve your home base. Think of each day as a chance to improve and do more good deeds. Today I plan to do a Heap of good deeds. I want to keep the momentum going so that I can get my 2nd degree black belt, get my teacher certification, get a teaching job, make a movie, make more money and swim with the dolphins. In order to do this I need to believe in myself and have the energy it takes to complete these goals and as long as I keep improving upon my Home base, I can get there.

TICKLE

Today can be looked at in many ways. Actually the whole day was great except for the last hour. So I can choose to look at it as stressful and full of angst or I can look at the things that tickled my fancy today. I enjoyed working with children, I enjoyed my colleagues and I enjoyed learning new skills for teaching students. READY

What a great way to feel confident. To be ready for anything. To feel ready for anything. I feel that in my heart everything that happens is the way it's supposed to happen. All defeats are actually data for the next big thing that's coming your way. There is power in new ideas and when things don't work out the way you thought they should, that is just information about the next great thing that's coming. Being ready for whatever comes your way and making a decision is the way to be a leader and to have a successful life.

UNLIMITED

Today is a day that I plan to feel unlimited opportunities in my life. I feel that the only way to live a full life is to feel confident and strong and feel the unlimited potential that is in your heart. Having faith that all things happen for a reason and that all things will work out eventually is the best way to live. Think of how far you've come and be aware of all the great things that are working in your life.

ORGANIZER

Sometimes you feel like you don't have enough time to do the things you need to do or want to do. I believe that when you are able to sit down and meditate and visualize those things getting done, you can find success in your endeavors. I will find time to study for my upcoming test and I visualize myself having success with that exam. When you are an Organizer, you can find a place for everything. You can find time for your friends and time for work and time for yourself. Today is a gift and its important to find time to do all the things on your list. Make your dreams a reality through faith in God and faith in your abilities. I will organize and find answers and make it happen because I believe that I can. I believe that my soul is at peace and as a result I will bring back to me all good things.

FOUNDATION

Building a strong foundation starts with honesty, perseverance and dedication. I feel that it is important to get involved things that push you to be a better person. Looking for ways to contribute and help others will add massive value to your life. When you are giving to others you can feel good things coming back your way. Feel good about who you are because you have something to contribute. Keep going after what you want out of life because nothing can stop you if you keep at it. Building a strong Foundation makes you impervious to the obstacles that come your way.

ERADICATE

I feel that it is important to be warm and let other people feel your warmth and create energy and more heat in life. Eradicate the feelings of self doubt and anger and resentment. Eradicate all the "I wish I would've or I should haves". What do you want from today? What is beautiful about this moment? What can you build from life in this moment? Today I really want to connect with people. Each day, the goal should be to help people and make a real connection with people.  Talk with people and share my gifts with them. I want to make a difference in the lives of other people. I believe I can make a great life for myself by meeting my own needs and creating energy and momentum through my actions. Sometimes I think about things that happened in the past and people that I didn't stand up to but should have. There are people that have wronged us and we didn't do anything about it. I end up getting heated and then having nothing to do about it except be in a position where I'm angry and alone. The best way to counter those feelings is to remember the people that radiate warmth and create that positive energy for me: my wife, my baby boy and if I take a deep breath and think about these people, I can move on. Celebrate this life. Pray to God and ask for help so that you can have financial abundance and love and keep the momentum moving forward. Bring on the Heat. Eradicate fear. Live with Strength. Today I can come in with a winning attitude and look for ways to complete my teacher certification and get a teaching job. This is the start of another beautiful week. This week will be full of surprises and new situations. I want to make my friends and family feel loved and appreciated. I believe that everyone needs to be complimented and enjoy being around you. It's o.k. to ask for what you want and do your best with what you have. YOW

Today is a day that can be whatever you want it to be. You can think of life as love and everyone in your world as one of God's children. You can look at your goals as within your grasp, you can look at the universe as moving all the things you want closer to you so that you can touch it and feel it and have a real experience. When I need to get out of a funky mood, I look up at the ceiling and say YOW. That changes my mood right away. Anger becomes commical, burdens become enjoyable. I suddenly have the energy and joy in my heart to have a fantasatic day.

DECISION

The goals you set for yourself are important to nourish and we need to keep reminding ourselves that what we truly have a passion for in our hearts is our purpose on this earth. When we decide that we are important enough to have our goals become a reality, then we can stop worrying about "how" something will come about and just decide that it will happen. The right people will come into our lives to make what we want a reality. My life is so much better than it was 5 years ago and I believe it is due to the fact that I have decided to have a beautiful life and set goals for myself and watched those goals unfold. Everyday I look at my goals and I have decided that these goals, that were once dreams will happen for me in my life.

ACKNOWLEDGED

The great thing about each day is that you get a new chance to be recognized for something. You may be recognized for making a contribution and being someone that people believe in. The best way to win people to your way of thinking is through your actions. If you are someone who can do what they say and get things done, then other people will stand by you when you need them. It is also important to acknowledge other people for their contributions.

RELIABLE

Living a life that is one where you say what you're going to do and people can depend on you to do it and follow through. That is a life worth living and sharing with others. I believe that the quickest way to reach your goals and to get promoted and to strive in your profession is to be a person who is reliable and trustworthy.

BABY

It's hard for me to think of anything negative when I think of my baby boy. Thinking of my son breaks me out of any funky mood that I might be in. Baby can also be used as a metaphor for something that you really love and take care of. When you have a passion for something and really feel great when you're doing it, that can be your baby. For me, I love video making and editing projects and for me its effortless. When you are aware of what you do in your life that is fun and effortless that for others is a difficult project, that is your gift to the world. Be aware of your strengths and your talents because they will get you moving to where you want to be financially and spiritually.

DOMINATE

To make problems go away, you have to be bigger than your problems. Sometimes things are scary and out of control, but you have to remember that you are loved and you have friends and there is no problem put in front of you that you can't handle. When we believe that God is on our side and helping us to overcome obstacles, then we can Dominate our problems and be impervious to criticisms of others and take charge and be a leader. Everyone can be a leader if they believe in themselves.

ENDURE

Sometimes there are things that happen that we have no control over and we just have to take it. For example, there is a hurricane on its way and all we can do is prepare ourselves for the inevitable. Sometimes we make mistakes and we're not always perfect, but if we do what we need to do and ask ourselves "How can I improve today so that I won't make the same mistake as yesterday?" Then we can make progress. I believe that we can learn from the past and expand. If something doesn't feel right to you, then do something about it. If there's nothing we can do to change it, then be strong and prepare yourself so that you don't let things tear you down. Endure life when it gets challenging. We're only human and we get jealous of other people who have incredible opportunities and you see it all the time, but  we have to be able to be our best selves regardless of what other people are doing. If we can learn from others and do the same actions and get the same results, then that can help us out. If all we get is to hear someone's story about how great their trip to Australia was, or how great all their children are or how great it is that they get to travel all over, we have to endure and know that God has a plan for us and that God's gifts are there for us as well. Appreciate what you have do well with what you have and you will be given more.

MIX

I think about all the things that we put into our lives and how we have to balance all those things. And then someone gives you grief for some reason and you have to find new ways to deal with all the things being thrown at you. It's good to come up with the right MIX. There are different ingredients and different things that we have to handle and certain things need to be taken in moderation. It is important to find the balance.

ACES

In the game of life, it's good to have all the aces. I just thought of that. I like to try new phrases every now and again. Especially when I feel like people disappoint me and I feel like I can't trust people and all that foolishness. Sometimes its good to just take a walk around the block and clear your head, which I managed to do this morning. I got to spend time with my son today and I love being able to spend time with my son. It's good to find time for family.

The only people who don't have problems are deceased. Focus on solving problems and achieving goals. Once you achieve goals, you can find new and even more exciting problems to solve.

ON

What is ON for you right now? What is working in your life the way you want it to? What can you get more turned on about your life? Who are the people you care about and how can you have more time with people you love and enjoy and less time around people that are judgmental and looking to get something out of you? I feel that I am on when I am doing work that I truly love with people I truly care about.

BELIEF

Belief is important to have. Sometimes things look bleak, but if you hang in there for a while, they turn around. Sometimes the setbacks that we experience are just what we need to get see things from a different perspective and get them back on the right track. The important thing is how you choose to respond to the problems that come your way. If you fail one test, learn from it and make it better the next time around. Don't let fear defeat you. Don't let fear stop you from being your best self.

ACCEPTANCE

There are lots of things that are outside my control, like the weather for example. I also can't control how people react, I can't make people do things they don't want to do and I have to accept that I can't control when people are happy or upset or depressed. I can only choose my response to how I will feel and I how I choose to live. I choose to live with strength and laughter and love and I choose to accept the things that I cannot change.

SILLY

I think it's good to be silly sometimes. Especially when people go out of their way to get under your skin. Some people know right where to go to try to rattle you. You can do what you can to eliminate these types of people from your life, but there are certain people that cannot be avoided and in these circumstances, why not just be silly. Why not just have fun with the situation?

INVINCIBLE

A great word and a great way to feel. When you feel like you can take on anything. I think when we're young, we feel that we can do anything. I feel that when people try to tear you down, you can choose not to feel attacked or feel that you are a victim. You can choose to be invincible and let people say what they will and know that they cannot dictate who you are or what you are about.
  I have a General Science Test, which I need to pass to get my teacher certification. I know that a molecule is a group of atoms bonded together and I know that an atom is the smallest part of an element. I have to allow myself to do the best I can do and remember what I've read and go over what I've learned.  The best way to feel invincible is to put the hours in and do the best you can, that way whatever happens, you know that you gave your best.

How can I be Remarkable? How can I achieve remarkable goals? Or what are goals that if I achieved them would make me feel remarkable? I definitely feel that all goals that are centered around learning and improving and doing better for my family are on this list. I really enjoy learning and finding new ways to think about things. When I learn something new, it really motivates me and gives me confidence to learn more. Learning about the Punnett Square or the different types of elements on the periodic table, or learning about Social Darwinism are really fun ways for me to learn about my environment and explore new possibilities, and maybe find better solutions. I'm really not in favor of Social Darwinism, I don't think 10% of the population should control 90% of the nations wealth.

INCREDIBLE

In what way are you Incredible? This is a good question to ask, when you need a boost.
What was something Incredible that you did today?  I feel that being yourself and being honest to others and open to others is a great way to expand your own possibilities. When people are down, you can be a friend and truly make a difference to them.

HEALING

What in your life is healing? For me, it would things like sailing. or basketball or a game of horseshoes or pool. Healing activities are great for the heart.

TOP

What do you have going on in your life that makes you feel like you're on top? For me, my family makes me feel great about who I am and I feel motivated to continue to achieve my goals. I am finishing off my teacher certification and I feel very grateful to have a job and friends and family around me who are supportive of me. I think that it is important to trust other people and work with others to achieve your goals. I am hoping swim with the dolphins in the near future, which is another one of my goals as well. Today was a day full of experiences and friends and new situations. I think one of the most electric things about the day was spending time with my son. Playing with him on the floor and singing with him. Through spending time with loved ones, I feel that I can generate more good things for my life. I want to keep things moving and keep energy flowing in my life like a giant generator of good things. I believe that frustration and failure at times can catapult you to higher ground as long as you look at these situations as temporary setbacks and get yourself back on the horse and continue to generate love and power into your life. I feel that like a generator, I can convert that negative energy into positive energy and have what I really want. I can take the things that I don't like and transform them into energizing situations that cause me to grow and develop.

Integrate yourself with everything around you. Create Harmony with all people and all things. Once I used to think that I could separate myself from others. I thought that somehow what happened to others didn't effect me. The truth is you don't succeed until everyone around you is a success. Even better than achieving what you want is allowing others to achieve their dreams.

Sometimes it hard to connect with people in a positive way. Right now I feel like it's harder to find free time with a nine month old. It seems like all my hobbies and activities are taking a back seat to being a full time dad. I'd like to ride my bike this summer and play golf and do some sailing, maybe write in my blog, but it seems like I just don't have time like I used to. The important thing to remember though is that life is full of blessings. My son is definitely a blessing in my life and now that he's crawling and squirmy, it's even more of a challenge to get him to sit still, but I feel connected to my son. I love to see him smile and giggle and I feel that I am in harmony with my life and accept the changes that are being made. I just appreciate the free moments even more when they come along. I fully appreciate this moment right now. I can reflect on my son and on my day is nice for me because it allows me to find that special place inside where all is good and all is love. People need to feel your love for them as well. Look for ways you can help others achieve while simultaneously achieving your goals. There's a great story about a man that was hiking on a mountain and it was freezing cold and in a life and death situation, some of the hikers were going to leave one of the men behind so that they could live, but one man stayed behind and helped the man and kept rubbing his legs and hands until he regained consciousness and they both went safely down the mountain. It turned out that the man who saved the hiker had a low body temperature and would have died if he had not been rubbing the other man's skin, so saving the hiker saved his own life as well. This is a great story about the human spirit. You will find a perfect sense of harmony when you help others to find success.

I think about all the tremendous happenings in my life. Getting married, purchasing a home, receiving my Masters in Special Education, having a baby.... Hi. Yes, I missed yesterday. My job required me to spend the night at a different location and they didn't have internet. But I am committed to my goals and working on them through this blog. That is my determination and the strength of my heart. I want to keep striving for my goals and helping other people to achieve their goals. Life is full of things that we can't control, but one thing that we can control is how we choose to work with what we have. Just because something doesn't work exactly the way you wanted, doesn't mean that we should scrap it. Use the drive and courage and heart inside you to make things work. Don't worry about what other people are doing or experiencing.  Focus on the progress you make everyday. Make things work for you through your persistence towards your goals. Not too long ago I went to the local fairgrounds with my wife and my son and our friends and their children and we ate fried dough and cheeseburgers and went on rides and played games. Networking is a great way to get things done. Networking through friends and through colleagues will get you to achieve goals faster. The magic that you've heard about and dreamed about is real. When you have a team working with you and you have purpose backing up what you do, nothing can stop you. Purpose is stronger than outcome. Setting goals without a network of other people in mind will not bring your goals into focus. The real reason to set goals in life is what they will make of you as a person. The manifestation process needs to include who you want to be. How will you work with the people around you to get the results that you need?
